Year 8 Students from Brayton College arrived at Chateau Beaumont in Normandy late on the afternoon of Monday 27 April. 22 boys, 18 girls and 5 staff set off from Brayton College car park just after 1.30 a.m. on Monday morning - many thanks to all the mums and dads who were so prompt and organised for the departure time.
A smooth drive down to Folkestone saw us on an early train through the Channel Tunnel and setting off from Calais just before we were due to have left - if you see what I mean!

Twelve of our Year 7-9 students attended Selby High for the day to participate in the Selby Singing Transition Project. They learnt five songs from memory and rehearsed on Wednesday lunchtimes in preparation for the final performance. They performed alongside a number of other local schools in an afternoon performance that parents could attend.
This event was organised by Cathy Roberts Music Advisor for North Yorkshire. The students had a tiring day rehearsing and performed brilliantly. |

As we arrived we had to find the Great Hall which was just as grand as its name suggests. The students split into two teams; on each team table there were drinks, pens and foam puzzles to do while we waited for other teams to arrive. Each team had to answer 20 questions that were read out with a 3 minute gap between each one.
