Year 10 student Jack Derham ran the 800m in front of a national audience when he performed on Sky Sports for North Yorkshire in the English Schools Athletic Cup on Sat 11th July.
Jack qualified through the heats and performed in the Final live on Sky. Jack is a year younger than his fellow competitors and came 7th with a time of 1 minute and 58 seconds.
Jack has now been selected for the UK Schools Games in Cardiff 3 - 6 September 2009 to run the 800m and 4 x 400m relay.
