The annual Rotary Clubs of York Technology Tournament took place on Tuesday 10 March and, once again, Brayton College were the only school in the area to take part. Year 9 students Jasmin Churm, Joe Clements, Sam Eady, Reece Foster, Leanne Middleton, Katie Robinson, Sam Selley and Jordan Smith made up 2 teams and put in a fantastic effort to design and make a ‘launcher'.

All teams were given the same materials and the winning launcher had to launch the ball 3 metres high through a hoop and parachute back to the launch site. The students were disappointed they didn't win the trophy but they had a great day out and are ready to beat them all next year!
